Itinerary
DAY 1: ERRACHIDIA AIRPORT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
We will start our desert tour from the airport or hotel in Errachidia. Then we will travel via the Ziz Valley to the fossil-product-producing city of Erfoud. Later, we continue to the Merzouga Desert after visiting the souk of Rissani. In the desert, we will spend the night in a nearby hotel. Enjoy your trip from Errachidia to Merzouga and back in three days.
DAY 2: EXPLORE THE MERZOUGA DESERT
The second day is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert. We will also visit the Khamlia village, which is home to Gnawa musicians originally from Mali and Sudan. Later today, we will prepare ourselves for a camel trek to the Erg Chebbi Desert with the help of an experienced camel guide. We will eat lunch with a Berber family who lives in the desert. In the Merzouga desert, we shall witness the sunset. We will have a Berber meal and drum music around the campfire at Merzouga once we get to the desert camp. In Merzouga’s desert, you will spend the night in tents.
DAY 3: RISSANI – ERRACHIDIA AIRPORT – MERZOUGA DESERT
We continue in the early morning by attending the breathtaking sunrise on the final day of our three-day tour from Errachidia to Merzouga and back. Return to the hotel to prepare for departing for Errachidia, eat breakfast, and take showers. We shall admire Ziz Valley’s natural scenery along our lengthy journey. We deliver you to the airport or accommodation.
